A week-long entrepreneurship trip meeting UIUC alumni founders and VCs, learning how companies get started and funded from people who have done it.

The biggest shift for me was realizing how much of the early work is unglamorous and iterative rather than the pitch-deck moment people picture, and how consistently founders pointed to a real fit with the customer’s problem, not polish, as what actually mattered before anything else.
